  Bermuda

Bermuda is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, which is ironic given it was discovered by mistake in 1609 when a Spanish ship ran aground on its reefs and it was dubbed “the Isle of Devils.” It also is the oldest British colony. The country has fought to keep its environment unspoiled by development and has strict laws to keep its lands pristine. It is only 21 miles long and two miles wide, but actually consists of 181 named islands and islets.

Bermuda likes to highlight the magic of its shores by helping visitors create their own magic. Couples often visit Bermuda to dine on the beach at sunset, kiss under coral and stone semi-circles said to offer good fortune and happiness, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride at night around the capitol of Hamilton.
